About Us
Parenting Arizona is a statewide non-profit agency with a mission to strengthen
families and prevent child abuse and neglect.
PA offers a continuum of services for the entire family which are:
- Readily accessible
- Cost effective
- Volunteer based
- Culturally diverse
Offered in a nonjudgmental atmosphere of trust and confidentiality, services
help to stabilize families and violence toward children through parent education
and support with the philosophy that healthy parenting is the cornerstone to
a safe and fruitful childhood.
Parenting Arizona’s strategies to strengthen families and keep children
safe include:
- Parent Skills Improvement
- Resource Centers
- Public Dissemination of Information

- Community based parent education
- In home family support services

Offered in a nonjudgmental atmosphere of trust and confidentiality, services
help to stabilize families and assist parents and their children in developing
positive and nurturing relationships.
Parenting Arizona, formerly Parents Anonymous, was founded in 1970, is now
a subsidiary of Chicanos Por La
Causa (CPLC) and operates as separate and unique 501(c)3. CPLC is one of
the largest community development corporations in the nation with over 600 staff
and is recognized nationally and internationally for its model programs, and
applauded for outstanding representation of and service to its constituencies.

- 8,000 families were served annually
- More than 1,100 volunteers donated 51,144 hours annually
- Statewide Professional staff of 45 employees
Parenting Arizona is a grass roots community-based organization which is an
integral part of the solution to a problem which has global and generational
impact. Contributions to PA help to develop healthy
families and ensure the safety of Arizona's children.
